Requirements for Registration and Submission Procedure
To be able to submit manuscripts to the journal and monitor the current status of submitted materials, authors must log in to the website as registered users.
Submission Requirements
When submitting a manuscript to the journal, authors must confirm its compliance with all the requirements listed below:
- the submission has not been previously published and has not been submitted for consideration to any other journal editors (or the necessary explanations have been provided in the comments to the editor below);
- I/we have read the requirements for submission and formatting of scientific articles for the journal and agree to the publication of the article in one of the forthcoming issues of the national interdepartmental scientific and technical journal “Central Ukrainian Scientific Bulletin. Technical Sciences” in accordance with the publication schedule determined by the editorial board;
- I/we consent to the use of the article in electronic databases in which the national interdepartmental scientific and technical journal “Central Ukrainian Scientific Bulletin. Technical Sciences” is indexed;
- the authors declare that they have no conflict of interest related to this research, including financial, personal, authorship-related, or any other conflicts that could influence the study or the results presented in this article;
- the authors confirm that they did not use artificial intelligence technologies in the preparation of this work.
In the event that the submitted manuscript does not comply with these requirements, the editorial office will return the materials to the authors for revision.
Guidelines for Authors
The journal accepts articles submitted by Doctors of Sciences, Candidates of Sciences (PhD holders), students, postgraduate researchers, and other individuals with higher education engaged in scientific research activities. Authors must submit exclusively original research conducted by themselves, in compliance with citation and referencing standards. The author is responsible for the accuracy and reliability of the presented material, the correctness of the data (facts) provided in the paper, and the quality of translations of quotations from foreign-language sources (if any).
The submission of knowingly false information or plagiarism is unacceptable and unethical. In addition, only articles that have not been previously published in other editions are accepted for publication. Republishing (in whole or in part) previously published scientific results as new findings is prohibited and is regarded as self-plagiarism.
For students submitting single-author manuscripts, a written review from a scientific supervisor or a Doctor of Sciences in the relevant field is mandatory.
Articles should be submitted through the online submission system or delivered personally by the author on an electronic storage device. All correspondence, including notifications of editorial decisions and revision requests, is conducted via e-mail.

An author’s application form and a signed copyright transfer agreement must be submitted together with the manuscript.
At the request of the editorial board, authors must provide an official statement confirming that the manuscript does not contain information classified as a state secret.
Authors are responsible for complying with copyright legislation. Authors may enter into separate additional agreements concerning the non-exclusive distribution of the work in the form in which it was published by the journal (for example, depositing the work in an institutional repository or publishing it as part of a monograph), provided that proper reference to the first publication in this journal is maintained.
Articles are published in English and Ukrainian.
No fees are charged for the processing, peer review, or publication of articles.
Applicants for the third level of higher education (doctoral/PhD students) studying under state-funded programs are exempt from any fees (charges) for the processing, peer review, and/or publication of articles submitted solely by them (without co-authors).
Articles that do not comply with the formatting requirements of the journal “Design, Production and Exploitation of Agricultural Machines” will be returned to the authors without substantive review.
The article text must be prepared in the Word text editor (.doc format). PDF files are not accepted.
The manuscript should have an adequate length:
- up to 10 pages for original research articles;
- up to 18 pages for review articles (excluding references and abstracts).
The number of authors must not exceed four.
Authors are advised to use the article template.
Manuscript Structure
The manuscript should be structured into the following sections:
- Introduction, outlining the problem statement, the relevance of the chosen topic, and its connection with important scientific or practical tasks;
- Analysis of Recent Research and Publications, presenting previous studies related to the problem addressed in the article and identifying unresolved aspects of the general problem investigated in the paper;
- Problem Statement, defining the aim and objectives of the study;
- Materials and Methods;
- Presentation of the Main Material, providing a complete substantiation of the obtained scientific findings and principal results of the study, including the methodology for obtaining and analyzing the factual material;
- Conclusions and Prospects for Further Research, summarizing the conducted research and outlining directions for future investigations in this field;
- Funding, containing information about research funding sources, grants, and any other financial support for the study; only the full official names of scientific institutions and sponsoring organizations should be used in this section;
- Acknowledgements, including general information about any assistance in conducting the research and preparing the article, as well as notices of useful discussions and consultations;
- References.
The article must include abstracts and keywords in both Ukrainian and English.
The abstract text should be concise, clear, and free from secondary information, providing a precise and objective understanding of the essence of the article. The abstract must not contain abbreviations, citations, or results that are not presented and substantiated in the main body of the article.
The English-language abstract should contain up to 500 characters excluding spaces.
The Ukrainian-language abstract should contain from 1,800 to 2,000 characters excluding spaces. The Ukrainian abstract must be original and should not be a direct translation of the shortened English abstract.
The number of keywords/keyword phrases must be at least five.

It is prohibited to use spaces, spaces between initials (e.g., Petrenko V.A.), tabulation, etc. for formatting the text of the article, as well as to insert manual hyphenation. A non-breaking space should be used for the percent sign, quantity values, and units of measurement, for example: 10 %, 10 mm. In Ukrainian-language texts, only typographic quotation marks « » should be used, while in foreign-language texts – “ ”; the dash sign should be typed using the key combination Ctrl + minus.
Lists, if necessary, may be included within the article. A colon should precede the list. The following four methods should be used for lists:
- each item in the list should begin with a hyphen (–), the sentence should start with a lowercase letter, and end with a semicolon; after the last item, a full stop should be placed;
- each item in the list should begin with a lowercase letter of the Ukrainian alphabet followed by a parenthesis, e.g., а), the sentence should start with a lowercase letter and end with a semicolon; after the last item, a full stop should be placed;
- each item in the list should begin with an Arabic numeral followed by a parenthesis, e.g., 1), the sentence should start with a lowercase letter and end with a semicolon; after the last item, a full stop should be placed;
- each item in the list should begin with an Arabic numeral followed by a full stop, e.g., 1., the sentence should start with a capital letter, and each item should end with a full stop.
The number of tables, formulas, and illustrations should be minimal and appropriate. The size of tables and figures should be optimal for visual perception of the material. Tables and illustrations must not exceed the page width. Mathematical formulas must be carefully checked and clearly displayed. Figures and tables placed on landscape-oriented pages are not accepted. Sources of information for graphical materials and tables must be indicated, as well as authorship attribution (own development, compiled by the author based on…, based on the author’s calculations, etc.).
All graphical materials in the manuscript (sketches, diagrams, graphs, schemes, photographs, figures, drawings, etc.) must have the same caption designation “Figure”. A figure should be placed immediately after the text where it is first mentioned, or as close as possible to it on the following page. Figures are numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals, for example: Figure 1 – Title of the Figure. Figure titles should begin with a capital letter, be typed in bold font, size 10 pt, and aligned to the center. Spacing before and after the figure title should be 5 pt. Explanations to the figure should be provided in 9 pt font immediately below the figure and above its title. Captions, numbers, and titles of scanned figures must be created only in Microsoft Word and must not be scanned together with the figure.
References to figures should be made either in parentheses, for example (Fig. 1), or in the text, for example “...as shown in Figure 2”. If figures were not created by the author, their inclusion in the article must comply with the current legislation of Ukraine on copyright.
Diagrams, graphs, schemes, and figures must be prepared in black and white. The use of Microsoft Excel diagrams and graphs in grayscale is permitted. When preparing scanned images in graphic editors, images should be scanned at a resolution of 300 dpi.
Tables should be placed immediately after the text in which they are first mentioned, or on the following page. Each table must be referenced in the text of the article, indicating its number. Tables are numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals, for example: Table 1 – Title of the Table. The table title should be typed in 10 pt font.
The number and title of the table are indicated once with paragraph indentation; above subsequent parts, the phrase “Continuation of Table” followed by its number should be indicated with paragraph indentation.
Formulas should be centered, and those referred to in the text should be numbered. Formula numbers should be indicated in round brackets and aligned to the right margin of the page.
The use of graphic objects, frames, and tables for typing formulas is prohibited.
Formulas must be typed using the formula editor (the built-in Microsoft Equation editor in Microsoft Word for Windows), adhering to the following font sizes: regular – 12 pt, large index – 14 pt, small index – 11 pt, large symbol – 16 pt, small symbol – 10 pt.
References to sources should be indicated by ordinal numbers in square brackets, with page numbers specified where necessary, for example: [2], [3, p. 234], or [2, p. 35; 8, p. 234]. The bibliography should be formatted in the language of the original source, arranged in the order of citation, and prepared in accordance with the international APA standard (APA Style Reference Citations). A digital object identifier (DOI) must be added to the source if assigned to the cited publication.
The percentage of self-citations in the bibliography must not exceed 20 %, and references to conference proceedings (seminars) and dissertations must not exceed 20 %. References to textbooks, teaching guidelines, internet links to unofficial websites and forums (including Wikipedia materials, social networks, etc.) are not allowed.
In accordance with the Letter of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated October 25, 2024, No. 1/19894-24 “On the Use of Information Sources Created in the Territory of the Aggressor State” and the Recommendations of the Ethics Committee of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance dated November 30, 2023 (Protocol No. 36 (46)), the following are strictly prohibited in articles submitted to the collection:

citing sources published in Russian in any country after February 24, 2014;
-
using sources in any language if they were published in the territory of the Russian Federation or the Republic of Belarus after February 24, 2014;
-
references to publications authored by individuals affiliated with institutions of the Russian Federation or the Republic of Belarus.
Exception: the use of historical sources published before February 24, 2014 is permitted if it is critically necessary for the scientific research and properly justified.
Attention! The Editorial Board verifies compliance with this requirement at the first stage of article review. Articles containing references to prohibited sources are returned to the author without consideration.
